Channing Thomas vs. Alec Price World title match set for Limitless Wrestling's Guilty Pleasures

By Josh Nason

For the first time since June 2019, Channing Thomas will take on Alec Price in a Limitless Wrestling ring but this time with a much larger prize on the line: the Limitless Wrestling World title.

The match will headline Guilty Pleasures, set for Saturday, April 13th at the famed Yarmouth (Maine) AmVets at 7:30 PM EST. Tickets are available now and moving fast as you might expect as Limitless continues on its heater of sold-out shows.

There’s a lot of history between the two men, in and out of the ring.

This will be Price’s first title opportunity since he lost the belt to Ace Romero at September 2022’s Chasing Forever. After a hiatus, Price returned and won six straight to bring him to 2023’s Vacationland Cup which featured himself, Dezmond Cole, B3CCA and Thomas.

Of course, you know that Thomas won that night, thanks to Price. Cole eliminated Price much to everyone’s surprise and, frankly, joy. However, an enraged Price then delivered a Surprize Kick to knock Cole out, leaving him prone for Thomas to get the win and earn a future title shot which he infamously cashed in the same night.

Since then, Thomas has ripped off four title defenses and is on a 12-match winning streak and has entered the chat for the “best Limitless champion ever” conversation. If you ask his manager Sidney Bakabella, he would say he is the best ever.

Price called his shot at February’s Bitter Taste with his hard-fought victory over Lio Rush. He has the fans back in his corner and is ready to get what he believes is still his: the top prize in Limitless.

A complicated history

The two have gone one-on-one once before in Limitless as part of night 1 of the La Kermesse festival shows in June 2019. Price picked up the win that night in his debut which eventually brought him to the Limitless title more than two years later.

Both guys have also shared the ring in Let’s Wrestle where Price defended his title successfully as part of February’s 2022’s Let’s Rumble show. They also did battle the night after Thomas took home the Limitless title as part of a winner takes all bout that then-IWTV Champion Price won by DQ as part of a Wrestling Open event.

But that’s not all. As Price mentioned on commentary during the Thomas/Rip Byson title match in February, Thomas was part of the Bell Time Club where Thomas, Price and many others learned how to wrestle. The two even teamed together in Let’s Wrestle. But something happened along the way and Thomas forged his own path which hasn’t sat well with Price.

So all of that leads us to mid-April: a motived challenger and a champion that is on the run of his young career. And then, there’s the x-factor of Bakabella. There’s a lot of combustible elements forming in Yarmouth and this is just in one match.

Be there for someone history’s to continue to be written.
