Ortiz returning to Limitless Wrestling, enters Vacationland Cup tournament`

By Josh Nason

A year full of returns continues at this month’s Vacationland Cup as Ortiz will make his return to Limitless Wrestling as an entrant into the famed annual tournament.

The show is scheduled for Saturday, August 26th at the AmVets in Yarmouth, Maine. Tickets are available now with the show streaming on IWTV for subscribers.

Staring across the ring from Ortiz will be Dezmond Cole with the winner moving on to the main event four-way to crown the next contender for the Limitless Wrestling World title at September’s anniversary show.

Alongside tag team partner Santana, Ortiz made three appearances in Limitless in 2016, 2017 and 2018. While they went winless in their first two outings, their final appearance was a successful one as they defeated Brody King & JT Dunn in the main event of November 2018’s No Control — a sleeper for one of the best Limitless matches that year.

Now, he returns as a singles wrestler who is looking to find himself.

He will face Cole who earned his way into the tournament with a four-way VLC qualifying win at July’s Crunch Time. After a big 2022, it was an up/down 2023 for Da Big Boofa heading into Crunch Time with losses to Alec Price and Channing Thomas and a win over 2 Cold Scorpio. He has a chance to erase the first half of the year and make the final stretch a big one.

Regardless of the outcome, this should be a fun one. You should be there.
