Limitless Wrestling World title rematch official for Bitter Taste

By Josh Nason

Rip Byson will make his eagerly-anticipated return to Limitless Wrestling and get his long-awaited World title rematch against reigning champion Channing Thomas at February’s Bitter Taste.

The event is set for Saturday, February 24th at the famed AmVets in Yarmouth, Maine, at 7:30 PM EST. Tickets are on sale now with just 50 remaining as of this writing with the show streaming on IWTV for those unable to attend.

Byson made his surprise return at January’s End of Beginning, challenging Thomas and manager Sidney Bakabella to an on-the-spot rematch similar to what happened last August when Thomas did the same to Byson, cashing in his Vacationland Cup title opportunity that night.

However, Bakabella turned the opportunity down and said if there was a rematch, it would have to be in February.

This will be Byson’s first match since that night six months ago and since he went to Japan for the first time. He came back leaner and definitely meaner and is hell-bent on avenging the loss that made him the shortest-reigning Limitless champion of all-time.

For Thomas, it’s both an opportunity for his third successful title defense and to extend a singles win streak that sits at 11 after his January victory over Dezmond Cole and JT Dunn in a three-way.

A rematch six months in the making is less than two weeks away. Will you be there?
