This Week In Limitless Wrestling (10/3/19)

Anthony Greene’s First Title Defense Set: “I’m going to take on all comers. If you want an opportunity, whatever promotion, whatever state, I want to check every single one off the list. Retro AG is going to be a fighting champion, because I’m not just Retro, I’m Limitless.” - Anthony Greene

Just three weeks removed from defeating MJF and becoming Limitless Wrestling World Champion, Anthony Greene’s first challenger has been set for Fresh Blood on 10/25 in Yarmouth. Josh Briggs receives his first shot at the gold in his Limitless Wrestling return. Briggs has had a wild 2019, including dislocating his hip this March at Evolve, which many thought would halt his momentum heading into the summer. Instead, Briggs has traveled the country racking up victories against some of the best in independent wrestling including: MJF, Ethan Page, Darby Allin, and THREE victories over his opponent on 10/25, Anthony Greene. We caught up with Retro AG for a comment heading into his first championship defense.

Josh beat me in probably the biggest match of my career in front of an audience of up to 2 MILLION viewers! Nothing can change that. Ever. But what I can do is make up for it. I’m a World Champion, that’s something Josh Briggs has never been. And I’m going to keep it that way. On 10/25 I may not be getting the taste “Fresh Blood”, but a win over a competitor and friend of mine like Josh will be even sweeter.

Hirsch vs. Silver Signed For 10/25: It was officially announced late Thursday night that “Legit” Leyla Hirsch would collide with “The Meat Man” John Silver at #FreshBlood on 10/25 in Yarmouth, ME! Hirsch impressed Limitless fans and officials in her debut last month, stepping in for the absent AR Fox and nearly defeating “Top Talent” Christian Casanova in the process. Limitless will be one of Hirsch’s first stops after training and competing in Germany for wXw throughout the month of October.

Meanwhile, John Silver is still looking for his first victory in Limitless THIS YEAR. Granted, many of those losses came from Thick Boy tomfoolery. Silver has now distanced himself from his former running buddies, Jay Freddie & Puf, and reentered singles competition full time. This makes the upcoming collision with Leyla Hirsch a must win scenario for The Meat Man to stay in the upper echelon of Limitless Wrestling. With minimal distractions weighing Silver down, will this begin his rise to the top?
